This week, the BorealScat tower was lifted. What a feeling to see the tower in real life!

BorealScat begins
So it begins! We have marked the spot for the BorealScat tower and the contractor made some test digging. The tower is expected to be finished in August and we hope we can begin our measurements in early autumn.
SRS-meeting
Between 16 and 17 March, our group participated in the annual SRS meeting. SRS stands for Svenska Rymdforskares Samarbetsgrupp, which is a group that gathers Swedish Space researchers. Our PhD students Erik and Albert presented two excellent posters, one summarising some of the results on forest biomass and canopy cover estimation from SAR tomography, and one presenting our new experiment BorealScat, which will be a tower radar experiment in a forest outside Skövde. Moreover, Henrik Persson presented a poster summarising some of our TanDEM-X results.
