Biomass estimation from L-band tomography
There is a new paper available on-line on IEEE Explore, showing the potential of L-band SAR tomography for biomass estimation in boreal forests. Check it out here.
New paper on national biomass mapping with TanDEM-X
Our latest paper shares our experiences from large-scale biomass mapping with the TanDEM-X InSAR system. It has just been published in Remote Sensing and you can read it here.
New paper: Biomass estimation in a boreal forests from TanDEM-X data, lidar DTM and the interferometric water cloud model
A new paper has been published in Remote Sensing of Environment. The paper deals with model-based biomass estimation in Krycklan from TanDEM-X data using the high-resolution digital terrain model available for the entire Sweden. You can read the paper here.
New paper on model-based estimation of boreal forest properties from TanDEM-X data
This week, I received positive news from IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters: my paper has been accepted. The title of the letter is: “Estimation of Boreal Forest Properties from TanDEM-X Data using Inversion of the Interferometric Water Cloud Model” and together with my co-authors Jan Askne and Lars Ulander, we introduce a new method to interferometric water cloud model (IWCM) inversion, apply it to a large stack of TanDEM-X data, and evaluate the estimated model parameters against forest parameters, system setup, and environmental factors. You can read the paper here.
